Goal Getter
Morning gorgeous, how are you? I hope you are fab and well.
I’ve just been having a quick bounce on the rebounder whilst shouting out my mantras loud and clear! Awesome! I am feeling strong and ready to go. Woo hoo! My green juice is made, my mindset is sharp and I’m fully focused. Awesome. I have a busy day ahead with 6 gorgeous clients and then tonight some chill out time with my Holly and Neil. Ooh a super fab day, feeling very blessed.
This week I have been running a 121 bootcamp with one of my awesome client’s. She has been having 2 hours of gorgeous PT and coaching with me every day. It has been so fabulous: an influx of positivity whilst working on the mindset, an abundance of exercise and healthy, happy eating. And we have been having so much fun whilst she has been having time to really work on her body, health and mindset. Awesome. I love running bootcamps as these are a great way to help you to feel great about yourself and will kick start you weight loss and help you to feel and look more fab. This is a fantastic option if you want to feel fab in your bikini for your holiday, look better in you LBD for a party or generally kick start your health, wellbeing and fitness again. Anyway this email isn’t all about my bootcamps although it has been super exciting and fun this week running one again and if this is something you are interested in then do let me know. I tend to run a few of these every year. These are great fun if you want to do it with a couple of your friends too- a great way to work on your fitness, weight loss, mindset, health and wellbeing…. Anyway stop talking about them Davinia! Anyone would think I was super passionate about what I do, right!! Lol !!!
Anyway what are you up to this weekend my lovely? Tell me what goals are you on working on at the moment? I would love to know. Have you set many goals this year? And if so, how are they going?
Do you also set goals weekly too? I set daily, weekly monthly, quarterly and yearly goals around many areas including my personal life, health and wellbeing, my business, financial, family and so on. This is so that I keep growing and improving whilst making some of my dreams come true. But if you are someone that finds setting goals a bit scary and maybe overwhelming then I definitely recommend maybe focusing on having only 3 goals to work on at a time initially and then to chunk these down into daily goals and actions.
I do a lot of goal setting with my clients and myself. Why? Because if you want to be happier in yourself and in your life then setting goals can really help with this. Setting goals of any size and working towards them and achieving them, will help you to raise your self-esteem and confidence, which makes a huge difference to your happiness levels too. So what are your currently dreams and desires around your body, health, relationships, career, finances etc?
There’s been plenty of research over the years to show how setting goals and achieving them transforms your self-belief and I totally subscribe to this methodology. In fact I wrote my self- coaching book, ‘Imagine & You Can’ back in 2009 for this exact reason: to help women transform their lives by goal setting and working on creating more of the good feelings in life.
- If you haven’t done so already, I really recommend that every week you set three goals to focus on, this will make life so much more fun and exciting. These don’t have to be big goals but something that will keep you growing and striving forwards. Brain dump all the things that you would like to make happen; goals, must do’s, desires etc. Then have a think about which 3 you are going to work on first- the ones that are really going to make a difference to your happiness levels and dreams.
- Set your 3 goals and then sit down and have a think about the steps that you need to take to achieve them. I would recommend at this point that you get an accountability partner/friend to share your goals with. Or work with a Coach like myself so that you can share your goals with me and then get the support and accountability weekly to ensure that you stay on track by taking the necessary action.
- Aim initially for small achievements that you can tick off to help you gain confidence in your ability to get stuff done. They can even be things like increasing your water content by one more glass every week, walking another 3k steps a day if your goal is fitness or weight loss, adding more fruit and veggies into your daily diet, adding a juice into your daily regime etc, making sure you incorporate some mindfulness or meditation time into your week and so on. Seeing yourself achieve your goals week on week will help you to build up you self-esteem and know that you can make things happen!
- I find adding 3 weekly goals in different areas of my life really helps me to stay focused and then I chunk down to daily goals too. I would recommend that with each goal you schedule in your time weekly to work on this goal. If you are wanting to improve your health and fitness and lose weight, then scheduling in a daily time to move is a must. Equally as important is working out your meal plans and making sure you give yourself some time to make healthier meals. Time blocking for goals is a must. If you are immediately saying, ‘but I don’t have time’, my answer is then the goal isn’t important enough. If something is important enough you will find a way and make the time to progress in this area. If you are wanting help with time blocking and time management then DM me as this is something I help a lot of my coaching clients with.
Another fab to way to stay successful and on track with your goals is to use a happiness monitor. This is something that I fill in weekly and I also ask my clients to fill in too.
This is a weekly self-assessment form that helps you start to see the areas that you are struggling in or progressing in. The happiness monitor has a scale of 1-10 where 10 is I agree 100 % which is the optimum and 0 is absolutely not what you want. And then in the monitor you rate yourself out of 10 in each area to see how you are doing. So for instance you rate yourself out of 10 for your fitness, out of 10 for your health, out of 10 for your energy levels etc. I find the happiness monitor is such a great way to see what is going on in a quick snapshot with each area of your life. This enables you then to create goals and focus on the areas that might be dipping and where you might need to really work on too. Fab stuff. Is this something that might be of use to you too? If so email me and I will send you a copy of my happiness monitor that you can use too.
So tell me what are your top 3 goals goals/dreams for next week and this month? And if you dare to dream what are your top 3 dreams for this year? You tell me yours and ill share mine!
Have a fab day
Love and hugs

PS remember to email me back about your goals and dreams. The first step is to get clear. And then go make them happen! That is what I say! xxx
