Body Mass Index (BMI)
Your Body Mass Index (BMI) is a way of finding out if your weight is putting your health at risk and is used by health professionals around the world. The BMI scale is used to measure obesity. It’s based on your height and weight ratio. It’s calculated by taking your weight in kilograms and dividing it by your height in metres, squared.
This information is only a guide. It’s aimed at healthy adults, and isn’t suitable for children, young people or older people. It also doesn’t take into account the difference between fat and muscle.
If your BMI is in an unhealthy range then it is important that you take action, by having a healthy balanced diet with lots of fruit and vegetables, and by adopting regular exercise in your lifestyle. I can help you with both your diet and exercise plan to ensure you become healthy, fit and have the body that you deserve and want.
Please enter your height and weight then click the “Calculate” button to find out your BMI.
The imperial BMI calculator gives you the choice to use just inches and lbs if you prefer.
